Lazurite is a blue mineral that is the main component of lapis lazuli, a rock composed mainly of lazurite, calcite, and pyrite. It is used as a gemstone and in the making of blue pigments. It is found in many parts of the world, including Afghanistan, Russia, and Canada. It is also known as "blue stone".
