Description
Pyrite is a common mineral that is found in many different geological formations. It is also known as "fool's gold" because of its yellowish metallic appearance, which can sometimes be mistaken for gold. Pyrite is composed of iron and sulfur, and has a hardness of 6-6.5 on the Mohs scale.
