Types of Glass

The types of glass mentioned refer to different compositions and refractive indices (RI).

Glass, Fused Silica – RI 1.459

Fused silica glass is composed mainly of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and has a relatively low refractive index. It is known for its excellent thermal and chemical resistance, making it suitable for various high-temperature and corrosive applications.
