Baotite: a less recognized mineral

The picture below displays baotite minerals, in particular the faceted stone, which weighs 8.73 carats, and the crystal weight, which is 57 carats. The origin of this mineral is from the Zagi Mountains in the Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Baotite is a rare mineral composed of barium, titanium, niobium, and silicate. It was initially discovered in 1959 at the Bayan Obo deposit in the Baotou League, located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. The mineral was named after the locality where it was found.
